As Brooklyn continues to evolve, the Brooklyn Chamber, a membership-based organization, consistently works to offer top-quality services and new opportunities for its members. It advances the borough through outstanding promotion, support and advocacy as Brooklyn’s leading economic development organization.

Services to members include help with: financing, promoting your business, exporting, procurement, public notary, advocacy, and more. 

In 2013, NYCEDC and CFDA launched the FMI’s Grant Fund to provide local production facilities with funding for equipment and technology upgrades, employees skills training, business development consultants, capital improvements to their facilities, and relocation costs in New York City. FMI has also included business development opportunities for grant recipients, such as subsidized industry trade show participation, CFDA designer Open Houses and consumer-focused retail partnerships merchandising NYC designed and made apparel to a global audience. The initiative also seeks to encourage and motivate emerging and established designers to produce in New York City, strengthening the value proposition and consumer demand for locally manufactured products to a U.S.-based and global audience.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit trade association founded in 1962, whose membership consists of 474 of America’s foremost womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory designers.

The mission of the CFDA is to strengthen the impact of American fashion globally by amplifying creative excellence, business longevity, and positive impact via educational, professional, and other resources and tools to help businesses and individuals in this industry thrive.

CFDA CONNECTS provides participating Regional Fashion Organizations with access to leading industry experts & resources to help increase awareness of their Market and Designers, amplify their mission, expand their reach and strengthen their connection to the pulse of business, commerce, media and trade in the American fashion industry and globally.

The National Association of Women Business Owners is the voice of more than 10 million women-owned businesses in the United States. Since 1975, NAWBO has helped women grow their businesses by sharing resources and providing a collective viewpoint to help shape economic and public policy. It is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries.

NEXCO is an international trade association that sponsors monthly seminars and webinars that provide information to importers, exporters, freight forwarders, bankers, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals engaged in global trade. NEXCO members have interests in insurance, international banking, freight forwarding, trade law, customs brokerage, trade software and e-commerce. The Building Congress provides a unique forum to advance an industry-wide agenda focusing on economic and infrastructure investment, job creation, and professional exchange. These goals require the dedicated involvement and cooperation of the contractors, architects, engineers, unions, real estate managers, developers, and owners who comprise the building community.

On behalf of constituent organizations comprising skilled tradespeople and professionals, the Building Congress supports sound public policy, promotes productive capital spending, encourages public/private partnerships, and evaluates the implementation of major government projects.

To foster relationships and cooperation, the Building Congress sponsors consensus-building activities and encourages a free exchange of ideas among leaders of industry associations, businesses, and the public sector.

The New York State Restaurant Association [NYSRA] is a non-for-profit trade association working to promote, represent and educate the food service industy of New York State. NYSRA acts an an industry liaison with regulatory agencies that govern the commercial food service industry. NYSRA also acts as the "legislative watchdog" and is the official voice of the food service industry.

This mission positions NYSRA to promote the hospitality profession, while serving and representing its members and their customers through advocacy, innovation, and education.
