Children's Literary Salons: Children's Literary Salon: Meet the Founding Editors of the CBC Diversity Committee

Event Details

Please join us on Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 pm to meet and discuss with the founding editors of the CBC Diversity Committee.

In 2009, a group of children's book editors founded the group Diversity in Books. This in turn became part of the CBC Diversity Committee, a group dedicated to furthering the cause of diverse literature in children's publishing.  Join founding editors Stacey Barney (Penguin Random House), Connie Hsu (Macmillan), Alvina Ling (Little, Brown and Co.), Nancy Mercado (Scholastic), and Stacy Whitman (Lee & Low Books) for a talk about how this issue has evolved through the years.

NOTE: This program will take place in the Celeste Auditorium (formerly known as the South Court Auditorium) of the Stephen A. Schwartzman Building at 5th Avenue and West 42nd Street.  Please enter through the main entrance on 5th avenue.  The Celeste Auditorium is located in South Court on the lower level.
