Summary
  1. Excerpts from a benefit performance at the Roseland Ballroom in honor of New York City Mayor Ed Koch. Tape begins abruptly and cuts to theatrical producer Joseph Papp. Papp introduces the number he is about to perform: I met a million dollar baby at a five-and-ten cent store, the musicians who will accompany him and theatrical producer Michael Bennett, with whom he will perform. Following Papp and Bennett's rendition, Papp introduces his next performance of the Yip Harburg/Jay Gorney song, Brother can you spare a dime? Following his performance, Papp introduces Mayor Koch. Koch discusses the evening's event, intended to raise money for his congressional lobbying efforts, and his views on New York City and his mayoralty.
