Brief footage of A chorus line and brief interview footage of Papp. Segment two discusses the history of the Crossroads Theatre Company of New Brunswick, NJ, which at the time was the largest budgeted black theater in the country. Founder Ricardo Khan is interviewed at length. He mentions the landmark 1986 production of George C. Wolfe's The colored museum, which was later produced at the Public Theater by Joseph Papp. Brief footage of several Crossroads shows, including Black eagles, Black Orpheus, The colored museum, and Sheila's day.
