The Women’s Bureau: 100 Years of Research and Advocacy for Working Women

Since 1920, the federal U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau has actively studied employment and labor conditions of working women and championed policy to diversify the jobs open to women, increase their pay and expand workplace benefits. This discussion addresses the history of working women as well as the current economic climate and the policies that can help women regain their footing and improve their economic security.
