  • The Air Travel Consumer Report is a monthly product of the Department of Transportation's Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings. The report is designed to assist consumers with information on the quality of services provided by the airlines. An airline is required to submit a report for any month in which it experienced a loss, injury or death of a pet during air transportation. Copies of the reports appear on this website.
  • The Animal Welfare Information Center has compiled links in regard to traveling with companion animals. You'll find links to compare various travel policies of major airlines and international pet regulations, as well as general links on caring for the traveling pet.
  • The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) offers an easily searchable database of AAHA-accredited hospitals all over the United States and Canada.
  • The Federal Aviation Administration provides information on flying with your pet. Here you'll find information on pets in the passenger cabin, transporting live animals, and getting your pet through security checkpoints.
  • The American Veterinary Medical Association has provided tips on traveling by air, car, bus or train with your pet. Also included are general pet travel health tips.
