As a leadership group for the world’s greatest archive of its kind, the LGBT Committee is committed to supporting The New York Public Library and the vital work the Library does in collecting and maintaining its LGBT collections. Through their financial support and their creative ideas, Committee members serve as important and dynamic advocates for the LGBT collections, heightening public awareness and helping to identify new archives and materials that can be added to the Library’s holdings.
By donating $1,000 or more, members will be invited to one committee event each year. Organized especially for members of the LGBT Committee, this event will give members the opportunity to meet with and learn from the Manager of the LGBT Committee, along with noted individuals affiliated with the collections, view new acquisitions, and keep abreast of the latest developments with the Library’s LGBT collections and programming. Members also will receive invitations to other Library events that may be of interest to the LGBT Committee. Donations of any amount can be directed to support the Library's LGBT collections.
