  1. "In February 2018, celebrated artist JR brought his mobile photo studio to San Francisco to create a portrait of the city in 1,000 people. The portraits he took over the course of two weeks in SF will be combined into a vast and "live" mural and shown at SFMoMA in 2019. This book tells the story of how the mural was made. It includes still photographic portraits based on the looped videos, as well as behind-the-scenes photos about the making of the mural. Like the mural itself, the book is a dynamic, diverse, and heartfelt celebration of San Francisco and its people"--
