- Summary
- Princeton University's undergraduates were queried in November, 1986, about their attitudes toward and usage patterns of alcohol and other substances, such as legal stimulants (coffee, tea, caffeinated sodas) and tranquilizers as well as illegal drugs (marijuana, hallucinogens, cocaine, crack, speed, heroin, and ecstacy or other designer drugs). Other questions were included in order to determine the frequency, amount and location of both alcohol and drug use. The goal was to encourage the University Community to provide adequate services concerning responsible alcohol and substance usage, not to infringe upon the drinking privileges of the students. Out of the 1000 survey forms that were distributed, 457 students responded.
