- Summary
- "Marsalis on music" is the young people's series for our time. Conceived and written by Wynton Marsalis, the most popular and acclaimed musician of his generation, and a distinguished jazz performer as well. This four part series covers the basics of music appreciation. To explore these fundamentals, Marsalis has created a unique dialogue between the students of the Tanglewood Music Center, guest performers and ensembles. Group and solo performances, a live audience, imaginative graphics and visual effects, computer animation, and even basket ball are all used to teach and inspire a new generation of young music lovers and their families.
