Summary
A tribute volume published on the tenth anniversary of the dissolution in 2005 of the Shan State National Army (SSNA) following its ten-year military conflict (1995-2005) with both the national military of Myanmar and the United Wa State Army. The text contains a general history of the SSNA, it origins within the Mong Tai Army, an annotated timeline of key events, descriptions and documentation of important gatherings and political rallies, tributary poetry and literature, as well as discussion of the Shan political position within more recent national reconciliation movements.
