Summary
Transformed by Dorothea Röschmann into a "hippie musical," this opera buffa debates women's constancy: Don Alfonso is determined to prove to his two young friends, Guglielmo and Ferrando, that their fiancées, Fiordiligi and Dorabella, are not to be trusted like any other woman so he bets them that if they give him one day and do everything he asks, he will prove the sisters are like all other women--fickle.
