Summary
In Blonde Venus, an aspiring young actress gives up the stage to marry a scientist who becomes afflicted with radium poisoning. She returns to cabaret life and meets a wealthy playboy who gives her the money for her husband\u0027s treatment; she becomes involved with him, then flees when her infidelity is discovered, only to find herself the biggest star in Paris. In Shanghai Express, two former lovers, a British medical officer and a lady of questionable repute known as "Shanghai Lily," meet again on the Shanghai Express. Chinese rebels attack the train and take the officer hostage. Lily becomes involved with a rebel leader in order to save the officer.
