Summary

Through engaging anecdotes and inspiriting images, 'Upgrade' provides vibrant exemplars and enthusiasm for revamping existing spaces. Repurposing the unused: be it an empty chapel that becomes an inviting writer's nook or a rotten barn converted into a cozy living space for a small family. The projects illustrate the possibility of adding a touch of the new to the old: farmhouses adorned with modern glass additions or churches whose traditional lines now frame an office.
