Summary
  1. A tribute to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, on its tenth anniversary. Prominent performers from Broadway muscials perform numbers from hit shows. One segment is devoted to Annie, the musical based on the well-known comic strip, which played at Kennedy Center en route to Broadway. Composer Charles Strouse and lyricist Martin Charnin discuss the show, and introduce the four girls who have played Annie since the production opened on Broadway in 1977. Each 'Annie' performs a song from the show.
