  1. The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy is probably a post-Lawrence Reddick addition to the collection; It contains an "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection" bookplate but lacks the NYPL perforated stamp and any other stamps or processing markings of the original Schomburg Collection. Imperfect: torn, brittle, and bound in hunter green cloth over boards library binding with the original printed wrappers and a gilt spine.
