Summary

A video recording of a preview performance by the Martha Graham Dance Company at the Joyce Theater in New York, NY on January 21, 2003. The dances performed include Steps in the street from Chronicle, Frontier, Lamentation, El penitente, Errand into the maze, and Maple leaf rag. After the first dance, there is a short speech by Francis Mason, the chairman of the board for the Martha Graham Dance Company. At the conclusion of the performance, the company artistic directors, Terese Capucilli and Christine Dakin, join the dancers for the curtain call.
