- An episode of the Detroit Public Broadcasting show SMART TV focusing on the history of Detroit theater, the Martha Graham company, and its impact on the cultural scene with its upcoming performances. The episode begins with a history of the Detroit Music Hall theater where the company will be performing, followed by a short history and description of Martha Graham and her technique. This is followed by an interview with Christine Dakin and a clip from Acts of light. Two company dancers, Martin Lofsnes and Elizabeth Auclair, demonstrate some of the dance technique live on the program. The next segment is a master class of Martha Graham technique for middle school students held at Wayne State University. There is an introduction to and demonstration by the Martha Graham dance ensemble including interviews with the performers.
