- Description
- 1 videocassette (VHS) (92 min.) : sound, color; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- Panel discussion focused on the production of Lanford Wilson's drama Angels fall, which transferred from Off-Broadway to Broadway in early 1983, and played 59 performances. The production team discusses financial considerations behind the move to Broadway, some of the challenges in promoting a non-musical play that does not feature top stars, and the impact of such factors as reviews and winter weather on ticket sales. There is some discussion of Anthony Shaffer's play Whodunnit, which is running concurrently. Factors which have affected the increase in ticket prices for Broadway shows are examined. Panelists also take questions from members of the audience.
