  2. According to Lucas Wadding, two Noes wrote accounts of trips to Holy Land: Noe of Order of Saint Francis, earliest known edition 1500; secondly, a Noe Bianchi, Venetian, in 1566. This ms. is probably work of first Noe but Dictionary Cat. says Noe Bianchi.
  3. Layout: Written in 29 lines per page, ruled in faint black ink. One quire of 9 folios followed by 13 quinternions. Catchwords visible.
  4. Decoration: 155 colored pen and ink drawings, varying in size. Spaces left for initials but no initials ever inserted; rubrics.
  5. Script: Italian round gothic.
  6. Paper description: Basilisk, very similar to Briquet 2674; chain 31-40, ff. 103 and 104; unidentified watermark, ff. 73 and 76.
