- Datable between 1449 (Latin translation of Didorus Siculus' Bibliotheca Historica which was source for text) and 1477 (death of first owner, Tanguy II Du Châtel).
- Layout: Written in 2 columns of 50 lines, ruled in red ink. Catchwords visible.
- Decoration: Four miniatures, at beginning of books 6, 7, 8, and 9 with a different artist working in each volume; cipher of owners: T, J. Full borders around miniatures. Rubrics. 1-line and 2-line red and blue initials, some with opposing-color penwork. Large blue/gold puzzle initials with penwor, or initials on gold fields. Coats of arms.
- Collation: vol. 1, 30 quires of eight folios each; vol. 2, 24 quires of eight folios each followed by one of six folios.
- vol. 1: ff. iv + 240 ; vol. 2: iv; iii + 199 + iii.
- Volume 1 is foliated incorrectly 1-238 (two folios, 10a and 141a, not counted); for convenience, extant foliation is followed ; Volume 2 is foliated correctly, 1-198.
- Script: Bâtarde
- This MS seems to be a 4th (and unique?) redaction of a history, whose core is an earlier compilation given the name Histoire Ancienne jusqu'a Cesar by Paul Meyer. The present 2 volumes may only represent 1/4 of the planned total text.
