Summary

Panel discussion on the working relationship between playwrights and directors in stage productions. Panelists describe how they became involved in theater. Seret Scott, a former actor, speaks of the challenges of moving from acting to directing. Peter Stone discusses his work as a librettist of musicals, such as The Will Rogers follies. Playwright Tom Dulack talks about his experiences in theater, his collaboration with directors, and his play Breaking legs. Sam Cohn, an artist's representative at the talent agency Creative Management, Inc., explains his role in discovering new writers, actors, and directors, and helping to develop their careers. Panelists also take questions from the audience.
