  1. Robert E. Penn, born in 1948, is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and filmmaker known for his candid explorations of homosexuality and AIDS. Penn is the author of "The Gay Men's Wellness Guide" (1998); has done administrative work with the Gay Men's Heatlth Crisis (GMHC) and Gay Men of African Descent (GMAD); and has produced documentary films, public service announcements, and recording and video work through his Robert Penn Productions.
