Gerald Horne (1949-) is an African American historian, professor, radio host, political commentator, a 1992 California Senate candidate, and the author of Fire This Time: The Watts Uprising and the 1960s (1995), as well as over thirty other books. He is the John J. and Rebecca Moores Chair of History and African American Studies at the University of Houston.
