Summary
Panel discussion on design for the theater, focusing on a number of issues facing costume and set designers. Zipprodt discusses her work on the recent Broadway musical adaptation of Shogun, a highly elaborate production which failed to find an audience and closed in less than two months. Producer Stuart Ostrow discusses David Hirson's La bête, and its unusual scenic design. Wheeler talks about his recent project Hydrogen jukebox, an experimental piece with music by Philip Glass. And Zaloom describes his work methods, as employed in such recent works as My civilzation. The panelists also field questions from the audience.
