Description
1 videocassette (19 min.) : sd., b&w.; 1/2 in.
Summary
Anna Halprin and the Dancers' Workshop Company of San Francisco perform selections from Procession, a dance from their experimental repertoire. The dancers interact with all the elements in their "environment" - light, sound, metal scaffolding and ladders. Electronic sound collides with the movement, juxtaposes with it and takes on a life of its own. Halprin explains her aesthetic and comments on her group's approach to modern dance as "total theater."
