  • Wedding album documents the nuptials of pianist and composer Roy Eaton and Minette Delph on March 24, 1960, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, in Harlem, New York. The collection consists of views of the wedding ceremony and procession, with the Rev. M. Moran Weston officiating; a group portrait of the wedding party; and views of the reception that include the receiving line, wedding guests, the wedding party sitting at the head table, and the bride and groom feeding each other wedding cake.
  • Guests depicted include Minette Delph and Walter Delph, Jr., the mother and brother of the bride; Dr. and Mrs. George Cannon; Clifford Alexander, Jr.; Hubert Delaney; Dr. Madelon Delaney; Mollie Moon; Jackie and Jill Reid; Minnie Wilkins; Judy Wilson; and Roy Woodruff.

  • Roy Eaton, born 1930 in Harlem, New York, the son of Jamaican immigrants, is a classical pianist, recording artist, and, for over three decades, was a prominent composer of advertisment jingles. From the 1950s to the mid-1980s, he worked for ad agencies Young & Rubicam, Benton & Bowles, and his own company Roy Eaton Music, Inc., composing music for Texaco, Beefaroni, Yuban coffee and Coca Cola, among other clients. Initially a concert pianist in the early 1950s, Eaton returned to music in the 1980s specializing in works by Frédéric Chopin and Scott Joplin.
