- Summary
- A two-part made-for-television documentary exploring the history of Harlem's Apollo theater and its role in the world of black entertainment and in the social and cultural life of Harlem. Historical footage is interspersed with interviews with various entertainers, producers and others associated with the Apollo Theater. Artists interviewed include James Brown, Gladys Knight and Little Richard.
