  1. Spofford Beadle, employee of the Shubert Organization and longtime house manager at the Majestic Theatre, discusses his work with interviewer Ted Chapin. He defines the job of the house manager, lists some of his many responsibilities, shares anecdotes of his years at the Majestic during the long run of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, and also discusses the impact of the terrorist attacks of September 11 on the theater community. Additionally, he talks about the Shubert Organization's apprentice program for training aspiring house managers.
