Summary

1. Lighting designer Jules Fisher discusses his work with interviewer Ted Chapin. Starting with the aesthetics of light and optics, he talks about the history of theater lighting from the introduction of electric lights in the late 19th century to the age of computerized light boards, beginning in the late 20th century. He illustrates some of his points by displaying a lighting chart and "section view" he created for a recent project.
