Summary

1. Veteran Broadway producer Emanuel "Manny" Azenberg discusses his career with interviewer Ted Chapin. He describes the relationship of the producer with playwrights, directors, and other creative personnel, talks about advertising strategies, and touches on other aspects of the producer's role in a stage production. He defines the ways in which a producer's role has changed since the 1960s, when his career began. Azenberg also discusses his long professional relationship with playwright Neil Simon.
