Te Deum, H. 146 / Marc-Antoine Charpentier (Claire Lefilliatre, soprano ; Bruno Boterf, tenor ; Francois-Nicolas Geslot, haute-contre ; Jean-Claude Saragosse, bass ; Jean Tubery, conductor ; Les Agremens ; Namur Chamber Choir) -- Messe pour plusieurs instruments au lieu des orgues, H. 513 / Marc-Antoine Charpentier (Philippe Favette, bass ; Jean-Marie Marchal, bass ; Etienne Debaisieux, bass ; Jean Tubery, conductor ; La Fenice).
Note
The 1st work for SATB soloists, SATB chorus, and orchestra; 2nd work for woodwinds and strings.
The 2nd work essentially an uncompleted organ mass, composed for orchestra when an emergency preventing the use of the originally-planned organ arose; other instrumental music by Charpentier (H. 512 and H. 521) are substituted here for the missing movements.
Gregorian chants from the Graduale romanum (Paris : Paschal et Berthod, 1666) interpolated among the sections of the 2nd work.
