· To William Hayley, poet and biographer : 1 autograph letter signed : 3 September 1795 : (MISC 4535) : 3 pages (double sheet) : from Manaccan, near Helston : begins, "I am just about to print y[e] poem; to [?], by Dr. Darwin's & Miss Seward's permission (& I hope I may add yours) I shall prefix the following advertisement . . . ." Letter ends on page 1; page 2 contains a draft of the advertisement to Polwhele's Influence of Local Attachment with respect to Home; page 3 bears a copy of Anna Seward's sonnet, "O thou, whose genius, in the colours clear," which was published with Polwhele's poem.
