  1. An adaptation of J.A. Hasse's Artaserse by T. Giordani, in collaboration with M. Vento; the first performance was advertised: "Music by several eminent composers, executed under the direction of Giordani."
  2. The overture (p. 2-5) is arranged for keyboard instrument; the 3 songs, 2 recitatives, and 1 duet (p. 6-31) are scored for voice(s) and chamber orchestra with unrealized figured bass for keyboard instrument.
  3. Advertisement under imprint on t.p.: "Where may be had, Le pazzie d'Orlando ... Tigrane ... A compleat score of the favourite oratorio La passione by Jomelli, with all the new Italian operas, &c."
  4. Text for the Hasse work by P. Metastasio, revised by G. Boldini or D. Lalli.
  5. Singers named in caption titles of the individual arias: Sigra. Grassi and Sigr. Melico (also called Mellico).
  6. This version of the opera was first performed on 25 April 1772 at the King's Theatre in London.
