- Summary
- Fourteen programs (1925 - 1938) for The last of Mrs. Cheney by Frederick Lonsdale mainly documenting the original Broadway production starring Ina Claire. Includes pre-Broadway engagements at the Broad Street Theatre (Newark, N.J.) and at the National Theatre (Washington, D.C.). Of note are three productions in England: Gerald Du Maurier's 1926 production at St. James's Theatre (London) in which he starred with Gladys Cooper; a 1935 production by the Oxford University Repertory Company under the auspices of the Croydon Repertory Company; and a 1938 production by the Eastcote Players at Ruislip Parish Church Hall (presumably, St. Martin's).

- Item 3, a program for the Fulton Theatre (N.Y.), contains an article by Channing Pollack entitled Tomorrow and the theatre.
- Programs for the Fulton Theatre (now the Helen Hayes Theatre) contain advertising for evening gowns designed by Sally Milgrim and sold at Milgrim's department store depicting a number of Broadway stars modeling the dresses including Irene Bordoni, Louise Groody, Patsy Hastings, Billie Bostick, and Polly Blake. Other programs advertise the popular columns of Franklin P. Adams (The Conning Tower, utilizing his moniker F.P.A.), and Alexander Woolcott (Second Thoughts on First Nights), in The World newspaper. Both writers are depicted in sketches.
- Item 10, a program for a 1928 production at the Newport (Rhode Island) Casino Theatre Festival, with Ina Claire, Rose Hobart, and Ilka Chase, is part of the Robinson Locke collection.
