- Summary
- The Savory Collection is 108 live jazz performances recorded off the radio from 1935 - 40 by the trained musician and audio engineer William "Bill" Savory. His personal recordings preserved the music that played in jazz clubs and ballrooms in Harlem and across the country. The six remastered CD set is a selection of his recordings that features among others Mildred Bailey, Count Basie, Benny Carter, Roy Eldridge, Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton, Coleman Hawkins, Stuff Smith, Fats Waller, Chick Webb, and Teddy Wilson.
