Smith, adapted from the original by Julius Brammer and Alfred Grünwald. Includes programs for a pre-Broadway engagement in Brooklyn and a production at the Boston Opera House. The stage manager for the Broadway production was Marcel Varnel.

  1. Item 16, a 1927 program for Jolson's Theatre (N.Y.), contains advertising for George Jessel's return engagement in Samson Raphaelson's The jazz singer at the Century Theatre.
  2. Item 20, a program for a 1928 production at the Shubert Alvin Theatre (Pittsburgh, Pa.), contains a feature article on Robert E. Sherwood's Road to Rome, starring Grace George, which was scheduled to play the theatre the following week.
