- Two photocopied typescripts, Warner Bros. synopses, each one page, of Southern’s story outlines for Double-Date and God is Glove, to which was stapled: Jeffrey Berg (Creative Management Associates). Photocopy typescript letter, signed, to John Calley, Mar. 8, 1971.; and Warner Bros. inter-office memo typescript on yellow paper from Geoffrey Sanford to John Calley, Mar. 10, 1970 [i.e., 1971], 1 p.; with typescript Warner Bros. inter-office memo to Geoff Sanford, Mar. 10, 1971, 1 p., and photocopy of Jeffrey Berg-to-John Calley letter of Mar. 8, 1971; with photocopy typescript of Double-Date, Outline for an Original Screenplay by Terry Southern, Dec. 20, 1970, 12 p. - Jack Warner note to Calley, in pencil on ragged-edged scrap of paper, formerly attached by paper clip to photocopy of publioshed facsimile of typewritten letter by Terry Southern, Jan. 25, 1972, to Michael O’Donoghue, editor of National Lampoon, and published there, in response to O’Donoghue’s request for a satiric piece on the Vietnam War; published under heading #1 in a Series of Correspondence with Distinguished Authors; letter purports to be eye-witness account of gruesome form of necrophilia practiced by U.S. soldiers on Viet Cong corpses; in note, Warner rejects idea (proposed as prank?) that this could be basis for a suitable film.
