Summary
  • Tan card-stock label folded to 10.1 cm x 5. 7 cm, the front with facsimile trademark Snyder signature and registered mark by Michael Myers in blue; front label background in red with reverse lettering, motto in green; verso with recipe in grey with two ornaments in red; stapled to a clear polythene bag, approx. 10 x 17.1 cm., containing two nuts.
  • Largely distributed in guerrilla actions ; they were placed in San Francisco’s Geary-Boulevard convenience stores and sold for 25 cents each.
  • Rare survival in this state.
  • Some packages contained fragments of peyote.
  • Parody of ​poet ​Gary Snyder’s Zen consciousness​, back-to-nature philosophy,​ and valorization of Native American culture.
