- The Social Dance collection, dated 1894 to 1929, hold dance step instructions for American dances popular for couples or groups during the late 19th to early 20th centuries. There are also dance step instructions for children and traditional dances. The instructions are mostly printed matter with several handwritten notes and notebooks. Related material includes advertisements for dance schools and dance programs.
