Description
  1. 2 boxes (260 photographs) : silver gelatin, black and white; 25 x 20 cm
Summary
  1. Black and white, gelatin silver photographic prints mounted on linen of buildings in Manhattan, New York City, taken by photographer Morris Rosenfeld (1884-1968) between 1912 and 1916. The majority of the buildings are commercial in nature, and located along Broadway, although other Manhattan streets are represented. Images are exclusively of the exteriors of properties, many with front and side views, but that also capture street views and people. It is likely that the photographs were taken for clients concerned with business, real estate, and construction, and various New York City government departments.
