An interview with Merce Cunningham conducted for the documentary Buckminster Fuller: Thinking Out Loud. He begins by speaking about his first encounters with and initial impressions of Fuller upon meeting him at Black Mountain College during the late 1940s. Building off of this conversation, he speaks about a geodesic dome built by Fuller on the campus (10:40). He then goes on to discuss several anecdotes regarding Fuller over the decades of their association, as well as his takes on Fullers various ideas, projects and precepts (17:00). He follows with a consideration of what made the atmosphere of Black Mountain College special (23:50). After this, we see Cunningham asked questions again which were asked earlier in the interview, to which he gives somewhat different answers, due apparently to the 16mm film on which the interview was originally shot having run out in the midst of several previous answers (26:00).
