Part 1 and Part 2 (00-3:00 minutes). Leida Snow interviews Gary Paul Gates, a top writer and producer at CBS, who talks about his book Air time : the inside story of CBS News (Harper & Row, 1978), a history of CBS News.
Part 2 (3:00-15:48 minutes). Snow interviews Emily Hahn who discusses her book Look who's talking! (Crowell, 1978) about non verbal communication between human beings and their animals. She explains the methods of training them with the gestures, stances and expressions which have meaning among various species, and how and why animals are able to perceive similar signals on our part.
