- Initiated by Gregory Corso.
- The two stanzas of Kaddish are variants of the final section of Part One. Ginsberg has also contributed about ten drawings, including two still-lives of market life in Tangiers, and scenes in India, one on the banks of the Ganges. Ginsberg’s stay in India would change his life radically, marking his immersion in Eastern spirituality, especially Buddhism. Kerouac has contributed two pencil drawings, one of a crucified Christ; the second, of his sinister anti-hero Dr. Sax, which he reprised as an illustration for the novel of the same name. Corso and Orlovsky have contributed poems, drawings and sketches.
- The sketches and notes form a loose record of Beat encounters and events in the late 1950s and early 1960s. One drawing depicts Jack [Kerouac], Paul [Bowles], Pete [Orlovsky], Bill [Burroughs], Al [Ginsberg], me [Corso], and [Francis] Bacon.
