It is a reproduction derived from the upper inset of a sheet map, no. 20, or "Pas-kaart van de zee kusten van Niew Nederland anders genaamt Niew York," which appeared in the third volume of the first completed edition of Van Keulen's Zee-Fackel or Sea-Atlas, this volume bearing the date of 1685.
