Raw interview conducted in a manner of a conversation between Michael Tilson Thomas and Ross Drake probably in the office of Margaret Carson with her occasional remarks. It covers a vast range of topics such TV shows, Tanglewood experiences, "Young People Concerts," the importance of rehearsals, extreme reaction of audiences, performances with public's participation, lack of cultural exposure in LA schools during Reagan administration, Thomas's work-related disappointments and aspirations, and more, but focuses on his career and work as a conductor. The 1st part of this interview is interrupted by previously recorded interview with an unidentified female actress and another fragment from a conversation between 2 unidentified men. In addition, the sound is uneven and fades away on occasion. The 2nd part is almost entirely a continuation of the interview between Thomas and Drake with a much better quality of sound.
