Martin Goldsmith recalls the prominent American conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein on the day after his death (October 14, 1990). Inlcudes announcements of upcoming concerts and other cultural events, excerpts from recorded interviews with Bernstein and his friends, colleagues, former students such as conductor Marin Alsop, classical music critic and commentator Ted Libbey, and others; excerpts from recordings of his lectures at the Harvard University; and excerpts from various musical works that Bernstein composed or conducted which are played during the program.
