- Summary
- Inspired by Giovanni Bocaccio’s Decameron, the Heptameron is a compilation of 72 tales told in the course of eight days, with 10 tales told on each of the first seven days, and two on the eighth day. 500: “Many of the stories deal with love, lust, infidelity and other romantic and sexual matters. One was based on the life of Marguerite de La Rocque, a French noblewoman abandoned, as punishment, with her lover on an island off Quebec.”—From Wikipedia.
