Inspired by Giovanni Bocaccio’s Decameron, the Heptameron is a compilation of 72 tales told in the course of eight days, with 10 tales told on each of the first seven days, and two on the eighth day. 500: “Many of the stories deal with love, lust, infidelity and other romantic and sexual matters.
