- Summary
- This compilation, which was created to accompany a mixed-media stage presentation, consists of archival newsreel footage, home movies, performance clips, and still photos, primarily related to the career of entertainer Gypsy Rose Lee. Some of the material depicts Gypsy and her colleagues in various productions, while other clips offer more general historical background concerning world events during her lifetime. The final portion of the program consists of home movie footage taken backstage at the original Broadway production of Gypsy in 1959.
