Summary
  1. Paula Kaye (died 2005), born Paula Lucille Kleinman, was a dancer in theater and revues. Her husband, Al Goldin, was a theater producer and general manager. They had a son, Joseph Goldin. The Paula Kaye and Al Goldin papers (1935-1980) primarily document Paula Kaye's dance career from 1935 to 1946 through photographs and scrapbooks. They also contain small quantities of papers and photographs regarding Al and Joseph Goldin. Lastly, the collection contains two original gouache on paper curtain designs by Erté -- 1) "Blues, prologue setting / #1456 / Rideau 8 / X, 1928", and 2) "#2077 / Rideau II / XII - 1931." Also included is a watercolor, gouache, graphite and ink on paper rendering of an interior sitting room, signature in lower left corner not clear.
